Formal Gown and Tux

In Highlander, an immortal Scot born in the 16th century lives in the present day. In Outlander, a 1940s woman is cast back into 18th-century Scotland. In Outlander Sport, there’s a new grille and a few other things, but it’s the same basic machine that bowed for the 2011 model year, oddly making the Outlander Sport more Highlander than Outlander.

The new face is the Outlander Sport’s version of what  is calling its new Dynamic Shield grille, and we’re not really sure all that chrome is an improvement over the Sport’s old Lancer-esque schnoz, which at least gave it some connection—however tenuous—to the Evo. But the Evo is dead, dynamism lives, and with stranger aeons death may die. As such, we’ll learn to live with this new Mecha-Cthulhu face. To complement the look, the Sport gets new 18-inch wheels, new power-folding mirrors with LED turn-signal repeaters, snazzy wheel-lip moldings, and three new colors: Cool Silver, Diamond White Pearl, and Quartz Brown.
